About The Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel

A 4-star hotel in downtown Austin on Congress Avenue, steps from the Paramount Theater and walking distance to Sixth Street, Rainey Street, and the Texas Capitol. Pets are welcome. Practical notes: 24-hour front desk, valet parking, laundry and dry cleaning, restaurant, and a bar with an outdoor terrace. The central location means sidewalk walks rather than grass, with Capitol grounds the nearest open space on foot.

Chain policy

Sonesta

Sonesta states that all of its hotels are pet friendly under its PAWS (Pets Are Welcome at Sonesta) program, welcoming dogs and cats, with most properties also accepting small domestic pets, and typically permitting up to two pets per room or suite with no breed or height restrictions. Sonesta states that pet fees vary by location and encourages guests to check with the individual hotel for applicable fees and policies, so no chain-wide fee amount or range is published. Sonesta states there is no fee for service animals as defined by the ADA, while emotional support animals are not treated as service animals and remain subject to PAWS terms.

Sonesta sets this policy at the group level and individual properties set their own fees. It publishes no chain-wide fee or weight limit, so this hotel's own terms are the ones that apply.
